      David,
Thanks for your help with the noiseless thread I started. I'd like to ask your opinion on a couple of different loaded pickguards I ordered to experiment with noiseless Dimarzios. I have one with Area 58/58/61's loaded with a treble mod via Lincoln Brewster and one with Area 58/67/61 with a push pull tone pot in the tone pot 2 position. First, I'm assuming that the push/pull pot just switches to single coil tones as you'd mentioned in your posts. Is that correct? And on the 58/58/61's will the treble mod make much difference in the overall tone? I'm new at this stuff so that's why I'm asking. I'm going to get them both sometime this week and send one back after checking them. I'm just going to use some cable jumpers to run them to a cable so I don't have to do any soldering until I figure out which to keep. Anyway, if you have any thoughts, I'd appreciate hearing from you, Paul.

I'm sorry -- I'm not much of an expert on vintage Strats. I wouldn't know the difference to be honest. I'd recommend posting a thread about it in the pre-CBS forum and seeing what other folks think.

can you help me to find out, if this neck on my guitar is real Fender stratocaster neck, original neck...? u can see on my profile pictures of that neck before and after i painted it...i change keel( i think that it called that way..)it was white, but i made new one, custom, black, made of ebony... and pins looks like original fender vintage from late 1960s... headstock was round, real strat look, but some idiot cutted it of, and now looks like horn :/ but it is still good... fingerboard is rosewood, i think darker then the other i had seen... dots are pearl white, and in bottom of the neck, in the place where screwdriver is, in the place where body contact nut, is number 1 66... mark looks like pencil written... the man who painted and make my guiter functional tolds me that the neck is very very old, and probably fenders...if u can look closely and give me your oppinion, or ask some other proffesional knowledger :) thank you for your time!!!!!!
