First thread and I'm asking a question lol

What heritage is this body, do you guys think? As far as I know its a one piece '54 reissue body, but as far as American, MIJ, Mexico, I'm afraid my Strat knowledge ends there on this one

Looks to be a three color sunburst so it wouldn’t be a ‘54 cause that was only 2 color. It could be the photo tricking the eyes. Looks nice though!

I do know that most AVRI (MIA) have a bent worm route. MIJ tended to have a clean straight worm route like in your photo.

^+1. To me it looks like a MIJ/CIJ body.

    I'm not sure it's a Fender body.

Would also doubt its a fender... Very unlikely an MIJ Fender

One little photo is not nearly enough to be able to tell what it is....

I'm also not sure that's a Fender body, but more pics are needed.

I don't think that neck is Fender....so the body might not be either.....

That sunburst on back looks a little funky.

I am concerned about why that seller put an fake Fender Custom Shop logo on the neck. Other faked decals too.

Cause Musikraft necks are excellent crafted too, and awesome quality from the ones I have handled/used.
So I am just puzzled why their was a faked logo set put on by the seller guy.

As far as I can tell without seeing it in person would be that neither of the two parts discussed originated as fender parts. The neck appears to have abalone inlays, and the body and the finish are questionable at best.

It looks to be a 60th anniversary 1954 reissue body made in the US. The marks are correct, the stamp is faint but I can see the four first digits reading 7700 which is correct for this model. Also the SB mark in pickup cavity.
Here is one with better view of same model. The body looks to be Ash which is also correct, if it was mij it would've been Sen.

It's the right kind of burst for a 54 but under some light conditions it might look like it has red in it but it doesn't.

I see a lot of nice parts on the guitar. Callaham trem, Glendale neck plate, Musikraft neck, that was a pricey build. I agree with @Guy Named Sue the SB stamp in the pickup cavity looks US Fender to me. I've got a 2014 AVRI 54 reissue, but I've never taken it apart. If it's a 2014 54, the body is probably 2 piece with an offset seam on the treble side of the body. That was a trademark of the 2014 54 run to be as accurate as possible. What is interesting to me is the 2 different pickguard holes by the cavity. It wasn't drilled for 11, that is apparent by the rest of the holes. But, it looks like it did have a different 8 hole pattern for some reason?

You're right I missed that extra hole. A small batch of these had 1 piece bodies and this one looks to be one of those. I don't see any seamline. Looks like a premium quality partcaster
