Yeah that must be Sonic Blue, even though the owner hasn't told us! Fender did offer the '59s in a faded Sonic Blue very similar to the shade they used on the Classic Player 60s Strat - I briefly owned one of each before selling the '59.

This guys takes your money, goes dark, occasionally gets back with some story about lack of cell coverage and the guitar is in the mail, blah blah blah. No tracking number, no guitar.

    Don't deal with this guy.

The bank has me covered and I'll let them deal with him.

If any other sellers bill through their personal business called "Professional Pixels", I recommend you reconsider the purchase.

I was immediately a bit suspicious of the single photo for such an expensive guitar.

He sent me a bunch more that were clearly taken in the same place. I'm rethinking this whole buying thing. It won't eliminate risk, but to mitigate it, I think in the future, I'll ask for:
    • all parts and pieces to be taken in a single frame
    • include a dated newspaper as well to show that he was able to generate a photo on a given date, like a photo with a ransom note
This eliminates those who steal photos to sell a guitar they don't possess. It does not eliminate those who list something they do possess (or a cooperative friend's guitar) and simply never intend to ship however.

Not that this applies here, but do be wary of buying from someone here on the first few posts.

I'm not clear on posting rules in situations like this, but I'd like to reduce the chance he shows up here on another login and scams someone else. I think it likely.

And use a credit card that will cover you in these situations, as I did.

Scumbags who disrespect others like this really do piss me off.

    Damn -

I had been kind of nervous buying from here - but since I have had luck with other guitar forums - I thought - it was safe -

it's horrible that someone has to deal with this.

This is generally a good place to buy or sell.
