not a log jam just a nice way to remember Eighty-four, Pennsylvania and the lumber empire that was born there...

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/84_Lumber

this week we have two tracks! one, a favorite that lost out at the challenge voting last week, full of a certain floydian slip

and here is a shortened downloadable

and we also have an alternate - if you're not feeling the rich psycho or you want to do both, or neither, or...

a nice and mellow shuffle in G

    and it's downloadable...

alright, let's be reckless out there

i've gone and done both of them.

the easy blues shuffle - took me a few tries to sort of remember how slide in open g works... weird.

and the rich psycho... well we all know one... i picked an amp sim and hit the red button. changes? what changes.... (thus the mess)

thanks. I don't really work these out. I play over them a few times and get the feel I want, then record...which might take a few more times. I like having to get all the way thru ...thats why I do video so I can't punch in. Its a drag when you are almost done and you lose it. But its good practice. I dont even know what chords I'm playing over....I get the key and just wander around. Not sure what scales im playing either.

technically im really a mess. self taught ...no lessons. I copied albums when I was young and did what I thought they were doing. learned some scale positions from books. I dont see the neck really as scales that go across in a box. I know them and use them but I see it more as ladder where they are all connected. Its mainly about feel to me. How I feel when I play. So I got lazy on the technical side.

because people don't mean what they used to. in other words, it's not, as far as i can tell.

Well I was gonna go all Dave Gilmour but @Brian H beat me to that:mad:. Then I was gonna do just a slide version but @montemerrick beat me to that.

So I just went '70's supergroup with all six guitar gods on stage together. It's a bit sloppy cuz Eric had a bit too much to drink and Dwane was still coming down. Jimmy hadn't slept in 54 hours and Ritchie was... well you know Ritchie..:thumbd:

My take on first track, I tried to avoid some influences, unsuccessfully :)

I suck at blues playing, so I did one take and will try to forget it
