Here's mine. Thank you Monte:
The shuffle really needs some semblance of a chorus. I also thought my previous effort was a bit messy in places so I attempted this one again.
most blues don't have a chorus... three, four verses and you're done... sure some do, but pretty rare... but i'm just commenting on your comment, i havent' listened yet... sorry.. just jumping the gun here...
I just added a IV I IV V to add some variety. It’s still blues.
i'm relieved to hear that... i thought you'd gone and done something desecrating - worse than clapton!
Well, the structure is still blues. I take plenty of liberties with my playing however. ;-)
Tried the shuffle. I just couldn't quite lock in 100%. Full of warts and clams. I guess I'm not used to the new Tele yet, or my underpants are too tight, or whatever other excuse I can think of.
@roger@pennyflic - wow, that did sound exactly as you described! bravo!
@knh555 - the bookends were gothic in stature. your tone was barking all up and around George Thorogood's tree! and your Evening Shuffle is a whole nutha pair of sleeves! Kind of RL Burnside in the first quarter and then off into your own thing...defintely has your vibe imprinted all over... demonstrating why people like shuffles to begin with!
@mjark - well that really took it back to its psychedelic roots! @thomquietwolf should listen to this!
@Brian H - that naturally evolved into something almost Hendrixian... more fire!
@Ebidis - you're all over that! nice tele too! love the neck pickup on that guitar. great floydian jam! your blues don't need no excuse! play on!
@ProSonicLive - i like it! warbles in around the progression in a cool way... straight up and sideways all to once... very cool!! a touch of Frisell...
@Raimonds - i'm expecting this is going to be great. and it is! great feel, great vibe. as always... you may have learned however you've learned (up to now) but you've got a great sense of "sounds good" and "feels good" - serves you well. does so on the blues jam too... you keep it honest and uncomplicated... sounds like pretty good blues to me...
@Alan L Cole - yeah, that's the stuff! you've got a great feel for the strings... you remind me of some of my favorites, really lets you know its a physical thing... a steel string, a fleshy thumb, a hard pick, fingers and wood... very nice... warm and real. who needs psychedelics when the world we live in is plenty inexplicable and strange... stay animal!
I decided to go for the obvious on the Rich Psychedelic Groove since, well, I never play this stuff.
The one I wanted to hear...
Won't play for me....
Some sort of karmic instance...
Thank you for making it downloadable
You're not missing anything but it should play.
Well I tried.......
Sounds great knh555
Very nice playing and your use of tone and effects compliment this track very well !
Sunday night in OZ. Time to give this one bump up.
How about a Knopfler/Dire Straits style track?
I'm good with anything and.... if you are out there Monte I'd like to offer you my proxy this week.
no way Roger... the devil's wages and all that! (maybe, we'll see how it goes...)
but i did come by with this to suggest...
Ha,ha,ha..you're a wise man Monte... Did you ever see that movie Bedazzled where Brendan Fraser was given wishes by the devil (Liz Hurley) and each time she screwed him as although he got what he wished for, there was always some sort of twist that messed it all up.
Look Monte, all I can say is....I really like this tune and could probably be persuaded to vote for it but lets just cut to the chase. Take my proxy and it's a fait accompli
Monte's suggestion is well made the others so far, not so much to my ear.
