Thanks, The one thing that really took me by surprise was how light this thing is. When I get it home I will have to weigh it. It actually feels lighter than my Showmaster Scorpion which is ridiculously light.

It may go down in history as the greatest gif of all time. I always watch it for a couple minutes after I post it because it cracks me up.

Ok so after a little cleaning and inspection I did a little maintenance then I plugged it in and tried to play it last night.
First, I took it to work and used some rubbing compound and cleaned the gunk that was caked everywhere then I used some carnuba wax to give it a really clean shine. I waxed body, back of the neck, headstock and tuning peg knobs. There were rub marks that I thought were scratches that even came off... it almost looks new again minus two very small dings on the back.
When I got home I put a set of strings on it and found the action a little high but I couldn't turn the bridge pivot screws in any more so I pulled the bridge to find the pivot anchors had floated but I was able to tap them back down and they were holding pretty solid. (I'll keep an eye on it)
Also, while I had the bridge out I had to tighten the ferrul for the trem arm as it was loose.
Then I set the action and adjusted the trem claw because it was almost tight to the body.
I still haven't looked through my extras yet to see if I have another locking plate for the nut yet. I'm sure I have one though.
When I plugged in the pots were scratchy and the switch looses contact in the bridge position but over all this thing sounds pretty good. I will try a little deoxit in the switch until I get an Oak-Grigsby but the pots will be changed out probably tonight with some full sized Bourns pots that I have for such an occasion.
I was, however, surprised when I checked the DCR on the P'ups because the humbucker was in the 14.4-ish range and the two SCs were in the 4.5-ish range. Can we say mismatched much? I think I will eventually try to find a couple SCs that are hotter to match up better but over all this guitar had turned out great for the money I have in it so far which is what I played for it plus a set is strings.
Here she is cleaned up so far.

Thank you, I think it will fit in well with the rest of the family. Can't wait to see a thread (with pics of course) of your new MIK

What!?! My mother is watering over that too! I had no idea Squire made and RG with a Floyd! That is freaking awesome. It even has a Wizzard-ly looking neck and neck jernt (ding speck checker!) I want one! I've been eye-balling RGs on ebay, but it has to be a steal (like $70 or something). Congrats and HNGD! You hit the jackpot on that.

    Wow flashback.

That’s the exact guitar my good friend had back when I started playing in 1990.

    It’s awesome. Enjoy.

No, it didn't come with the case. I already had that one. It's a generic tweed case that I put a Squier logo on.
