So I recently bought a Furman power conditioner to plug my tube amp and pedal into. I know some people think power conditioners are just glorified power strips but I thought I’d give it a try.

So anyways if my amp is plugged up into the power conditioner and when I go to power it off I can hear the shut off click or whatever come through the cabinet.

    But....

If I have my amp plugged directly into the wall socket and turn it off it does not have the click or sound coming through the cabinet, it’s a silent shut off.

Is this strange? Should I hear a click or sound of my amp shutting off through the cabinet or should I not. I just find it weird that it makes this sound when plugged into the conditioner but when plugged directly into the wall it shuts off silently.

    Any thoughts?

When you power what off, the amp, or the Furman?

That would be on my top 5 list of things to not worry about.

In other words, it is nothing to worry about.

It wouldn't even make it on to my top 20 list...

Why do we make these lists? Is it normal?
