I took my '57 to my buddies shop and he is going to refinish it with a better color match to what it should be. He asked me to take my '60, because he wanted to see it. He loves vintage guitars. While there, he took a bunch of pictures of my '60 and I thought I would share. I won't be able to post the pictures all at once, so hopefully throughout the day I can add more. Here are a couple for now. The only pictures he missed were the pot dates, unfortunately.

Very good initiative! It's always good to have high res reference pictures. Would be nice to give some more information and hopefully closeups of particular signs and tells of a 1960 sunburst. I'm happy to contribute if you want and don't mind. Looking forward to more pictures.

Thanks for sharing. The wood throughout those pictures is to die for.

Beautiful. Three nailholes clearly visible for those who always ask themselves where to find them. Under the neck, up left from the bridge and one under the input jack plate.

I think it's just light and reflection... no?

good catch! It's a bit of a mystery. It's an earlier '50s no-line tuner... it was like that when I got the guitar. :)

Then it's a 1956 tuner and probably not original to the guitar. Not that that matters whatsoever. Quite rare these no-lines and only used a very short period of time

Single line tuners started in '55 on gibson and '56 on fenders. My '56 strat has single lines and my '55 tele has no lines

Absolutely right. On early broadcaster/nocaster no-line and no shaft through casing, on 54-56 no-line with shaft through case. Mid-56 it changed

Joel is pretty sharp-eyed. Find that bushing before it gets lost!
