My guitar teacher has suggested I start recording my own backing tracks to further my lesson knowledge. He asked if I had Band In a Box. I do not, but I have Cubase LE AI Elements (licensed through my purchase of a Line6 AMPLIFi amp) and the Apogee ONE for iPad and Mac, which I bought off eBay but never installed.

I believe one or both of these can be used to record my guitar to my computer. Then, if it's an MP3, or it's playable back through the software, I should be all set. Right?

Cubase does not have a true "Mac-friendly" interface, but I can deal with it. I don't know anything about Apogee ONE, but it sounded compelling when I bought it (mic included, etc.).

    Tips? Feedback? Advice?
