GC has one Strat and one Tele per store of this year's limited edition Elite Aqua Marine Metallic guitars.

Who's going to stand in line to get a shot at one?

    Some other eyecandy shots.

Manager said it's a GC exclusive model for Black Friday.

Sharp looking, but not a justifiable expense for me.

Super nice! But at the moment, I'm considering swamping my yellow telly body with either a LPB or Purple sparkle one instead, so no spare funds, or space!

I wonder what else you get for the extra $200 Edit: $300 compared to list price of an Elite beside the QMT? My wife has seen the pics and I hope she told Santa.

It will end up being a pretty rare guitar, as there are only 260 GCs remaining.

Stop it! It is tempting enough by itself.

I went to a VIP event at my local GC this past Sunday and they had both of theirs on display. Those guitars are beautiful but I'm not really hot for either of them at this time.

However I can easily see me ordering a Fender Player Series Strat HSS in Sage Green with the Pao Ferro fingerboard this Friday. So easy to say when I am not at the counter with card in hand.

Only 260 GC's left? I hope they stick around. Does the 260 count Musician's Friend as well or are they only online now?

They had one out at the Guitar Center in Marietta, GA today. I was watching someone play it while I was checking out a Tele Deluxe. The color is not my cup of tea.

The manager said that "there are only 260 GC remaining", so I'm not sure if that includes MF or not.

I hate that they let anyone just play a guitar at that price point. Too many posers go to GC and just play guitars at high levels to draw attention to themselves. I would never want a guitar anyone has played, let alone a $2,000 one.

I have no personal interest. Not my cup of tea although I acknowledge it's appeal to certain tastes...it is pretty.Fender is smart rolling out limited edition models to make a quick buck on clearing out the inventory on a soon to be discontinued model.

Would you recommend a person put a deposit down or take a quiz before being allowed to handle a nice guitar? How do you know the player I saw would qualify as someone you would deem inappropriate to play a $2,000 guitar?

The deposit is a good idea though I was speaking in general terms.

When I buy a motorcycle I insist on one that has not been test ridden by . . . anyone . . . except the shop tech who set the bike up.

    Just a personal preference thing.
