Fruits were only available seasonally back then and there were loads of grocers shops. Now everything is available all year round and the supermarkets dictate quality for everybody.

    WOW

You mean to tell me that you believe everything that is told to you?
    On the INTERNET?

Gotta use that thing that sits on your shoulders for more than a hat rack.

Sorry. It's supposed to read "game show snark".

I have no idea what "QI" is referring to.

    meanwhile

Vegans arent even Vegans because of how the human body works.

you tend to eat yourself over your life time.

but no one really pays any attention to that

I grew up on a hippy commune. I have known dozens of different kinds of vegetarians, (sometimes 4 or 5 different kinds in the same person, over time) and even vegans who are so extreme that they won't eat yeast & mushrooms because they claim fungus is more animal than plant. Yep, even beer is off limits for those--and bread. It's not the avocado in avocado toast that's off limits, it's the yeast in the bread.

I've even met a few vegans won't eat food cooked in a pan that's ever had meat cooked in it--and get mad about it if someone else does.

But I've never met one that wouldn't eat a plant because it was pollinated by an insect. Usually "Vegan" just means they won't eat any animal product. And often vegan goes along with an evangelical spirit, wanting other people to adopt the same choice, trying to make people feel sorry for the animals. Makes me wonder what they feed their babies. I suspect most compromise their beliefs and breast feed them--even though their own breast milk is an animal product.

I am personally a proud omnivore, and have been all my adult life. Meaning I eat meat daily if I can get it.

Frankly, I'm horrified that nobody has said anything about this. It is simply wrong from the start, those folks are called Vannists, not Jannists. Vanna White hates them and so do I!

Oh, and I love me some Guac. Whole Foods has the best Guac on the planet...better than any Mexican joint I've ever been in. I think I could exist on a diet of Guac, Bacon and cheese. Ok, perhaps a bucket of KFC occasionally.

Oh, and BBQ. Gotta have BBQ.

Oh, and kraut. But if you have Kraut, you have to have corned beef or pastrami. I could live with that.

I only eat avocados with the label that says "no bees were harmed, used or employed, gainfully or otherwise, in the manufacture or cultivation'
