As most of you know I've been off work for a while due to a minor stroke (TIA). I've been a bit miserable the past month, so a few weeks back my wife and I went shopping, passed my local music store and went in. I decided to tinker around a bit, then I discovered one of the new Affinity Tele's in 'competition orange'. I loved it, really light feel (haven't weighed it, but it's very comfortable). The overall construction of these cheaper Squier's is fantastic to be honest. Even the electrics are good when I popped her open, I literally just tidied the wires up with cable ties. The only things I did do was change the pickguard for a 1 ply that had height adjustment holes for the neck pickup. Replaced the flimsy looking strap buttons, and lastly I replaced the plastic jack socket with an easy fitting one from Northwest Guitars, admittedly I had to add a couple of toothpicks with glue to the holes, as the original holes were too big. Anyway here are some terrible photo's.
