I´ll love if fender launch this strat. So many people love rory´s strat. This one has no paint or lacquer. I love it. Rory´s strat is very close to this anyway...

Good God look how high the action on that thing is

Lady plays slide. Needs the high action to play as cleanly as she does.

if you didn't come to rock, then roll.

I'd love to see a Bonnie Raitt Sig Strat!!

She's been laying it down for decades!!

Probably wont buy one unless it has a lot more paint on it than ocredeus pics, LOL

Never could see the sense of paying big $$$ for a instrument that was already, used, abused, and trashed looking, even if it plays great (that whole current relic trend going on!) To each their own!!

Fender used to make a Bonnie raitt strat. Played one a couple times, they were nice. I'm assuming they didn't sell many because she's not mainstream enough. Wish I could've picked one up though

As the unintended consequence of a screwed up refinishing effort, I actually did to a Strat what Fender will need to do to make a Bonnie Raitt look-a-like Strat! I swear, when I was done with this project I loved the rugged "wild west" look, and then about two weeks later I saw a pick of Bonnie Raitt on Guitar Player magazine and thought "dang, she stole my idea" (of course, joking to myself ... I know her's came first).

If any of you want the secret recipe for this, just ask.

I'm glad you said that as I was sure I had seen a Bonnie Raitt signature. Didn't they come in just a couple of unusual colour options? Wasn't there a purple?

The signature models came in blue and sunburst, they were unpopular due to the narrow necks and came with Texas special pup's.

Ah yes, that's a very nice blue. Does anyone know what it was called? It looks like a sort of burst?

According to Ed Roman's website, Fender calls it, "Desert Sunburst"

They do. It's called the Rory Gallagher signature - see the beginning of the thread. It ain't cheap - it takes real skill to apply all that paint & then rub most of it off again. ;)
