I've been dialing in a bit of comp using the MXR Dynacomp effect and really liking it. For those interested in recording off this thing, here's one I did using the Katana for this week's challenge (lead guitar all through and slide that comes in at 2:46) using clean plus blues driver plus comp and some reverb with my acoustic. Forgive the sour notes on the slide please. Nothing to see there. ;) I recorded this direct to GarageBand and didn't do any post processing besides a little leveling and a touch of EQ adjustment. The bass was done on my THR10C with a Boss Flanger in front of the amp. Note the feedback on 2:45 is on the bass track, not the acoustic. Go figure.

Oh, sorry for my confusion brother, lol, I bought the combo unit (I ALMOST bought the head) because I could bring it up from the basement if I got bored down there by me self :thumb:

I'm still thinking about buying the head too.....I'm sure the MRS wouldn't mind at all :sneaky:

Lets us know what ya end up with please.

    LMSS

PS: IF I buy the head, I have the 4X12 stereo cab from my Mustang V head I could use with it.

Use the "effects descriptor" overlay that came with the amp.

Some bad/old info too. The headphone/record output isn't stereo, even when using USB for recording, it's mono.

It comes with a cheat-sheet telling you which effects are stored under which colour for each knob, but if you change the effect with a pc, you need a good memory or make a note somewhere.
This is something i need to do

It should have been ON the top of the amp when you unboxed it.

How do I save a defined combo to one of the tone settings?

If you mean something you dialed in on the amp, you just hold the preset button you want to save it to, until they all flash.

If you mean a preset available through the software in computer i think you press 'add' from the list of presets, then it gets added to your library, then drag and drop from the library page.
