They probably don't dance either...
They certainly have never asked me...
I'm kinda envious. You helped develop a passion in him and now you get to watch him share it
Good for you and him
I appreciate the sentiment and thank you for it. Did not particularly set out do develop anything, just jammed with him. Rest assured, with a son/dad similar personality types, there is a downside.
Devil music.. I'd expect nothing less.
Sounds like a fun ride though, you have to be enjoying it a lot.
Oh, it's a hoot.
(Would be pretty happy if you lived next door, though. I need projects to work on too.)
Time to start a commune!
Working out as expected. They are only playing 3 songs but that still entails me hauling: A drum set, a bass rig, one of my guitars as a backup for the guitar player, and that same guitar player borrowed my Micro Dark so he can pump that wicked 20 watts through his 4x12 cab.
Firing up the Zoom handy recorder. This should be fun.
Today is the day. boyo and his 2 metal buds play in public. As expected, we will be taking a pickup load of gear. All to play 3 songs, including originals. Sounds kind of funny but that's three more songs in front of a crowd than I will be playing...
OK, finally got a moment and got my dang internet back and was able to post something. Here are a couple of original heavy assed instrumentals by my son and his two friends. They range in age from 15 to 17 and when they write something, they will do it themselves, thanks very much. Edit to add: Boyo is on bass in this project.
