He's the last of the great old blues men. I seem to go see him whenever he comes through here.

Buddy Guy played in the Muddy Waters band in it's seminal years. He's the senior survivor from the golden years of blues. He influenced some young dude called Hendricks. Eric Clapton described him as the finest guitarist in the world.

Apart from all that, he's just another old dude from Chicago..... :sneaky:

Enjoy. I never miss a chance to see Buddy.

As a fellow grad student (at least for the next few months), I say skip class... it'll be well worth it. I've seen BG three times. Every show was excellent.

He curses a lot (never bothered me, but I've heard other complain. The music will be top notch and he often sings without a mic and cuts through just fine. A fun fun fun show to see. Enjoy!!!

Yes he does tend to swear a bit. But then he always has. Doesn't bother me either, I agree with him that by this stage of his life he can say what the **** he wants to.

He always puts on a great show, I've seen him several times. Make sure you know the words to "While You Were Steppin Out". He gets upset in a friendly way when the audience doesn't finish the response. You will have a good time!

Buddy Guy is the living connection between the roots of Chicago blues and rock. Every guitar player should get a chance to see while they can. Once you hear him live, you'll see what I mean. Enjoy the show!

    Like Nowheresville, man.
I saw him years ago at the Roxy in L.A. Some guy named Clapner showed up.

There were times during the show when Buddy closed his eyes, threw his head from side to side and played some of the most blistering, soulful, brilliant guitar I've ever seen or heard. :)

Richie Sambora went up on stage when BG said" Richie, come up and play."

The problem was he was talking to Richie Hayward.

They both played and it was great. LOL
