If you can get the JetCity for 200€ you made a very good deal.
Great amp for that price - it is like the Soldano Astroverb with more gain.

    All the best,
    Robin

Yup those jet city amps are great. I had one a few years back. Solid build too.

I’m afraid I can’t do it this month. And I am really wanting a Fender (or Fender-ish) clean sound....
Just window shopping for now - and hoping my amp tech, who seems to have dropped off the grid .... hopefully just for the holiday period... gets my Laney sorted out soon. He’s had it since 10 November!!!:(

I know I keep repeating this but go test a Hughes and Kettner Tubemeister 20 or 18. I got my 18 for £200 something off e-bay and bought the Harley Benton 112 Vintage cab to go with it from Thomann.

All in all less than £350 for a really good amp.

Yes, the JetCity doesn´t have those real great clean tones so you don´t have to be too sad about it.
Some times it is worth the wait and an amp finds the way to you.
    Like true love xD

there are a few of those around, and a couple of the 18w combos as well. But people are asking upwards of 350euros for them.

Bugera amps are fine. They have a terrible rep because the early models were prone to failure.

If you get one, be sure to get an Infinium Series, or at the very least, a later production model with the orange jewel light.
The blue light models are early run, and quality is very hit and miss on them.

The V55 does have a "Fenderish" clean tone. A bit thicker and beefier though, like a cross between an old Fender and an old Boogie.
The drive channel is very British sounding, and falls somewhere between an old Vox and a JTM / early JCM Marshall.

Great for classic rock and blues, but if you want anything more aggressive, you'll need a pedal.

    Dont fear the Bug :thumb:

I had a V55 Infinium and it was excellent. Tried to get a V22 Infinium a days ago but missed it.

What sort of clean tone is a "Fenderish" clean tone? Is it a clean tone with some signature Fender coloring to the tone?

In my shopping around for a spare rehearsal amp I have found it surprisingly hard to find an amp with good headroom on the clean channel before it starts sounding distorted. The only amps I've ever played that had really good clean headroom are my Peavey ValveKing and a variety of solid state Peaveys. And a Fender Frontman (not exactly the cream of the Fender crop).
