    Caps drift over time. If it was as old as you say, it most likely wasn’t a .02 any longer, might have been a 0.015 or .01. If you liked it, cool, that’s the most important thing, but that was far from a subjective test.

    I'm having a hard time believing that "the guitar was sustaining noticeably longer" because of a cap.

    In fact, I'm having a hard time buying a lot of this post. Granted I have never tried these caps you are talking about, so I cannot just discount everything you say off hand, but I have never heard any great difference between caps of the same value but different materials.

    And come on, "the guitar was sustaining noticeably longer", Really?
