Albert Collins is his own kind of blues - the Master of the Telecaster* (and a devoted capo kind of guy if you're following the plot from last week's episode!)

    here's a downloadable

hint: in order to keep it a challenge you can find the original youtube for this track at the end of challenge #255 since it was nearly selected for #256

Morning take while snowed in. There was no snow in our front yard there 12 hours ago.

Mr Collins tuned to an open F Minor. Just some FYI :)

For a simpler way to get there, tune your A up a full step to B, and your D up a full step to E. Simple open E Min tuning, now, capo the first fret. Easy open F Min tuning.

This backing track in E Min, so tune your A and D strings up a full step and you'll be ready to emulate Mr Collins :thumb:

of course the most challenging way to emulate Albert Collins is to actually play a meaningful blues...

I did the next best thing and played a tele. I'm afraid that's as close as I get.

i didn't mean to be dismissive... i just get weary of people saying blues are easy (not in the comments above, just in general) while churning out meaningless pap.

I knew what you meant. It’s all good. And the point of my response is, I agree!

Well, I actually did not think this was easy, but it may still be meaningless pap.:whistling:

Here's mine. Not really in Albert's voice - can't do that - but tried to capture a piece of him in my voice.

I thought this BT sounded familiar, so I went digging through my soundcloud. I did something with this over a year ago. It's a tough one. I fell back on a lot of my rhythm chops for this and didn't go the full distance and ended up repeating myself a bunch anyway. When I did it it was presented as Texas Blues...hence what I named my jam.

Cool to hear everybody else's take on this...sounds great!!
