I am looking at 3 different (priced/type) guitars, I have the budget for one of all 3, and these are all sort of short termed offers.

Don't even need another guitar, coincidence made them cross my pad.
Already played two of them, the third one probably will be tested in a couple of days.

1st one; Fender MIM Road Worn 50s Black. From a forum member and friend, switched guitars at a jam, and immediately liked the feel of this guitar, especially the neck shape. he's now selling it (but I have first option).

2nd one; offered by a Tokai forum member/fellow countryman, and living not so far away from me.
A 'color ↔ fretboard ↔ (matching color) headstock' combination I always wanted to have someday.

    And hey, its a Tokai!!!

3th one; Duesenberg, went to my trusted small local music store to get me some packs of strings, turns out they're closing down in a few months.

So see this hanging, and while looking at it the shop owner comes to me and says, plug it in and give it a go 'felis'. I Think to myself "nice sales try, but let's have some fun"

Turns out to be a really nice guitar, with a nice discount on it, don't have/had a hollow body yet, and was very impressed by its sound and feel (the missus also).
Walked away with a smile and some packs of strings, but it's still in my head.

I already have two Tokai Strats, my preference goes out to a Rosewood board, but I am not really in need for another guitar. o_O:oops:

First choice the Duesenberg. Simply because you don't have one and it's different from the guitars you currently own. The Tokai would be my third choice for the converse of the reasons above. The Road Worn I like best, but you can always get those.

I can't offer any sensible advice never having played a Duesenberg or Tokai, but the Duesenberg sure is pretty and brand new!! :D

    Or save up for a 335.... :D

Never heard anyone say anything bad about Duesenberg guitars. So I'd choose that one if I had the chance.

Duesenberg, Tokai, MIM in that order.

    Reasoning:
Duesenberg is a Mike Campbell model at a good discount.

Tokai looks awesome and is a bit of a rarity

    MIM is just an MIM.

I'd get the Duesenberg. The others pale by comparison. Besides, it's a gorgeous guitar and a solid reputation. Joe Walsh played one on video.

If it's good enough for Joe...

I'd roll with the Duesenberg. Not only are they unique, but I've seen them played on a lot of videos by people who can afford to play what they want. I've heard a couple of them live, and they sounded great to my ears.

If I could grab one for silly small money, I would.

    Duesenberg first, big plus too
....the wife likes it!!!!! which always makes it easier to get and keep a new guitar. Second would be the MIM because you liked how it played, which is really most important to me, for what it's worth.

With some uncertain times ahead of me, the most sensible thing to do, would be 'keeping my money in my pocket'.

Absurd how Gas can suddenly hit you.
