when i was younger, i loved only hot weather, but as i get older, it seems i like it a bit cooler. for one thing.... leather whether......and the cats seem to like it too.
Oh, man... Mid-October through December is the best time of year. The best weather, and the best holidays.
For the first time this year I found myself wishing for a bit of rain..at nighttime... the sun at times this summer felt like an almost malignant force... BUT - I still hate the cold, and the dark, and the bare trees. The colors here now are beautiful, but there’s a chill in the mornings and I’ve already had to get out my gloves, scarf and earmuffs...and it’s dark when I get up and nearly dark when I get home ftom work... November - March is the worst time of year...
It's getting pretty cold here now during the night, but still an occasional ridiculously warm day pops up. At least we haven't reached the six hour long, constant battleship grey days of winter quite yet.
Well it's not bad, I suppose. Rather than genius, I tend to see it as indicative of why nobody should have to live as far North as t'Yorkshire in t'winter. Tha knows.....
It's still been in the 80s here, I'm not mad about that. I absolutely do not like being cold. We get whatever will be left of Micheal tonight and tomorrow morning which will end up giving us 70s and 50s at night. Then my plants start croaking off. I really hate seeing gray skies and dead stuff all winter. Snow stinks too but luckily we usually get just one or two measurable snow and ice storms a year
Been nice here! Mid to upper 70's lows around mid to low 60's. Going to be nice weather for Austin City Limits Fest this coming weekend!
The summer here just doesn't want to end. But it's a lot different when the incessant rain stopped, and the last two weeks have been beautiful, if hot. Nice enough for me to pull 20 years of "outdoor carpet" off the patio in the evenings...
I'm with you on the holidays part but I would still take 110F in the shade all day over the 38F I woke up to this morning.
No way. That 38 will still warm up to something comfortable with a light jacket and bluejeans. That 110 never gets comfortable and won't for another three months.
I've always liked cooler weather. I was never much into temperatures above 75 or so.. I particularly don't like hot weather that is 110F in the shade.
