Yes, that is what it is.
You asked about "had" meaning past tense, so the coolest I've had was my 61 strat. It was originally a LPB that had been striped and finished in natural wood. Front and middle pickups were original, the rear was not. Everything else was original. In a moment of weakness, I sold it to the guy who turned me on to it in the first place for the same price I paid for it. What a mistake. Sure wish I could have that one back again.
Oh yeah, I remember those posters from when I was a kid. I dreamt of that sunburst floyd strat with maple board. I wanted one so bad but never got one. The floyd thing kind of faded away when I grew older . Took a long time till I got my first "real" strat. It was a cream colored 1978 which was a lot cheaper than new ones. But it looked like Yngwies .
I've only ever had one Strat.
The coolest Strat I ever had was my Tokai Springy Sound.
The coolest.... 1990 Plus, blue pearl burst.
The number one... JV Tex-Mex with my mods.
Then by default it is the coolest.
Hopefully the one I should receive in a few days: an AV 65 sunburst.
< This MIK Koa topped limited edition with a Birdseye neck & Seymour Duncans .
I have the coolest Artic White HSS Strat (posted pics on page ) which is loaded with Suhr pickups and electronics BUT this would be the I really want to own.....a Suhr Pete Thorn Signature guitar.
I know it's not a Strat or even made by Fender but it's a Strat Shape with the coolest electronics and woods. Mahogany back and sides with maple cap, rosewood board / mahogany backed, Suhr Pete Thorn "Thornbucker Plus" pickup in the bridge / "Thornbucker" in the neck. The switch does some killer combo's and can easily mimic a Strat tone with the push / pull knobs. Basically it has Les Paul woods in a Strat shape that can even sound like one. Now if they only made it in white, a new blue / green color just came out at NAMM.....I want white though.

Well, I've had this blue beauty the longest and it WAS my favorite:
But this new white one I think is taking the lead now:
My '59 AVRI. It was the only one that survived the great purge of 2017. My stable is back up to 5 guitars with 3 being Strats (two AVRIs and an AmStd). The '59 is so smoking, no way I'll ever sell it. Every other guitar I own is negotiable!
Edit: And for those who have seen pictures of this guitar without that arm wear, it didn't magically wear itself into a relic. I dropped it and the finish shattered around that area, so I sanded it out. Looks better than a bunch of fragmented nitro.
Coolest Strat I ever owned was my '63, but I sold it at the high point of the market around 2010, and did well on it. Coolest one I have now:
Just waiting on a new SuperVee Bladerunner trem and Switchcraft jack coming in the mail.
For me it's gotta my avatar.
This thing is just very comfortable all.around.
My ‘06 Classic 60s.....
It’s got the mojo
I have had Applause, Fender 1957 reissue, Fender Blackmore and partscaster Blackie so far.
Blackie won as I always found it cool for one reason or another until I found the magic and got used to playing it.
Then it became ultra cool and the reason to stay long term compared to any other stratocaster.
My ‘86 AV62 is my favourite...
The coolest strats I have ever had are still in my closet. I keep cool ones, and pass on the rest. It’s bad enough that I “had” a hemicuda, a 440 sixpack ‘cuda, and an AAR ‘cuda.
