    Has anyone put steel corner covers on their Hot Rod? I see them on the PV Classic 30 knock off. Seems like they would look good and be functional.

    Or does road worn black tolex =mojo?

    My house.
    In my case, I would feel worse for my walls and doorways. Ymmv.

    I have a HRD, '01. Has had a few tumbles and still looks new. :)

    I have often wondered why the factory didn't include those. My HRDIII is in perfect shape, I suppose I should add some at some point.

    I just got a 5 year old Blues DeVille, which is kissing cousin to the Hot Rod series...Previous owner mods include
    *a longer a.c. cord
    * Metal corners on the bottom corners
    * quality casters
    * white knobs for Volume and Drive so instant recognition on a dark stage

    I like the corners n casters a lot

    I haven’t added casters but I do put my amp on the small $7 moving dolly which works out nicely

    Either of those back saving strategies are wise, I love my HRD, but my solid state Princeton, at half the weight, goes to gigs.
