I usually brag about my daughter and her Rhythmic Gymnastics but this time it's about her academic endeavors. Last night as a high school junior she was accepted into the National Science Honor Society and the Cum Laude Society (only 4 schools in the state accepted into this). She will be attending a 2 week summer program at Harvard for the second time this summer. She was selected from 15,000 kids that applied (only 2000 chosen). She'll be studying thermodynamics and quantum mechanics. She also got accepted in the Stanford 3 week summer program (did not get accepted last year) where the selection is even harder. She'll be studying chemical engineering. She carries a 4.4 GPA at the best private school in the city. She's a next level human for sure. Proud Dad.

I wish I had done better in school. Or tried to do better at least. Anyone who says school/education isn’t important is clueless. Congratulations to your daughter. From the looks of it, she’s going to do great things in the future. Job well done.

There's a point in life where we stop comparing our own accomplishments and start comparing our kids. I tell Lisa all the time that we won the Kid Sweepstakes, but it sounds like your daughter is right up there! Your pride is obvious and perfectly understandable. :)

I feel the same way with mine. "We are lucky that our kids..." gets said in our house a lot. I wish I had a quarter of the smarts my kids have.

I actually am her Step Father but I've been raising her since she was 3. Here's a pic of her competing in Estonia January of last year. Her stateside competing is over for this year but she'll probably do a meet in Bulgaria and maybe Italy this summer. Rewards for all her hard work.

They are almost twins lol. This is my wife at 26. She still has these clothes and still wears them. I am indeed blessed.

Awesome. Think scholarships! Schools will compete for her. Have you filled out the FAFSFA form yet? I did it once and never got any help.
