    Hey guys!!!
A couple of people asked me in my Echoes video how I was able to do the "violin" effect.
I found it a great topic to make a tutorial.
    So here we go!
I hope it helps and, really, try it. I have never had so much fun experimenting with this.
You can literally make a guitar scream.

Thank you for making a video that is well edited, not like all the other clowns out there on the tube.

    That was pretty awesome.

I always thought that pedal is meh cuz its digital....

But holy cow thats sounds amazing.

    Totally want that delay now.

Great playing and keep up the videos. Amazing tone. You can see in the vid hes using a Blue FF amd has a red one of in the side just sitting there unplugged.

Would you say that it matters here on Silicon Vs Germanium or whatever works. I mean you can use a DS1 and any delay to get this tone?

Or is it prudent to use a specific type of delay?

Yes the type of delay definitively makes all the tone. I don’t recommend the modern Dunlop fuzzes as they changed the components and they don’t sound as good as they used to. For Gilmour tones I choose fuzzes that tend to break up once they are cranked. I’m not sure if the DS1 can do a good time with this... having the DS2, it’s just sitting there collecting dust.

Modern ones don’t do that. I personally built my own fuzz with DC109 transistors (the original that’s gilmour is using during Pompeii). It’s not finished yet, running everything through my interface for now which is not the best, but I’ll experiment more often with this stuff when I’ll finish and get a physical amp and pedals. Also planning to build my own echorec/tape echo delay. The catalinbread is really good but there are a couple of more great tape echoes around emulating the echorec or echoplex.

That sounds awesome! I'm going to try it with my Belle Epoch to try and get the same sounds.

    Very nice work!

I could definitely use this technique during my bands Psychedelic Jam part of our show.

I'd like to use it along with my Theremin blasting shrieks through the PA at the same time. :)
