Thanks for that, that was his point of view exactly, he was a musician for a long time and the strat used for recording,
I can fairly say it is my main Guitar now and for a long time to come.

You owe him to spread the word about it then when telling others how you came to acquire this instrument. "young" are you?.. Just trying to assess what my chances are still...

And you're expecting that to happen? Hmmmm, good luck.

Yes a replacement Custom Shop certificate for my 1990 Thinline Tele cost me £100 as the guitar has to be inspected by an approved CS dealer before Fender will issue a duplicate cert. Most of the fee seems to go to the dealer. In my case the "inspection" took 2 or 3 minutes (which makes it a great hourly rate for the dealer....). But that was partly because I took detailed pics of the innards which both Fender & the dealer had inspected before they got their hands on the guitar.

Ok - carpal tunnel? You're being sarcastic right? :)

It's a known issue that a neck profile that you don't like can give you a medical condition called carpal tunnel? Could you direct us to some sort of medical document that confirms this rather radical diagnosis?

My feelings exactly. I've sold a bunch of old gear lately at very low prices because I just wanted it gone. All of it served me well for years and didn't owe me anything. I was happy to move it and the new owners were thrilled to give it a new home. It felt good.
