I'm simplifying my pedalboard and I try to be useful and efficient.

For the delay, I was going for a used flashback. Classic and cheap. Many sounds, too much for my use probably.

Meanwhile I found an old boss dd-2 for the same price... Vintage and semi digital sound.

Any idea about that choice ?

I had both. I much prefer the Flashback. It does DD-2 and so much more, and well to boot.

P.S. I think they're blowing out the previous generation Flashbacks for about $100 instead of the usual $150. It's still a perfectly good pedal if you don't need any of the new features.

Thank you. I'm going for a used v1 so it's really cheap. For an all around delay at that price it's hard to find something better I guess...

The DD2 must be nice with a kind of vintagey digital sound, but it's a one trick delay/poney...

I have an original 80s dd2. I bought it new. Of all the boss pedals I ibought in the 80s its the one I kept.

Don't need to say any more.

But I will. It does a certain thing. I'd love to be able to brighten the echo but really. Its stereo. Use it stereo. Stick a bright boost on the echoside. Solved. I used mine for years with a ts9 80s and a self built clean boost based off the thing Brian may used very versatile.

Check out the TC Electronics "The Prophet". At under $50 new it's highway robbery. To your good.

Don't let the price fool you. This pedal is for real.

They have a real cool cheaper line of pedals, that's right !

The problem is I would pay for it the same, new, than for an easy to find used flashback...

Unless you get into the most refined air of cork sniffery, the Flashback really is the best value out there.

The Flashback. Way more bang for the buck, and that's before you even start experimenting with the Toneprint editor etc...

Well the Flashback is good enough for Sir Gilmour himself as seen on a recent guest tv appearance...

Of course he’s used a DD-2 since the day they came out but I digress...

I bought a FB, should be in the mailbox...

I dig the HOF so it wasn't hard to me imagining liking the FB.

I get you, but you'd chance on a used pedal with no warranty if it failed. And why is the Flashback easy to find used? Maybe it's not worth the high price to begin with? No offense to any Flashback lovers out there. Just sayin'.
