Do you ever wonder where your guitar is now? One you’ve either traded off or sold. Is my guitar on tour? Sitting in a case somewhere? Being played? Modified? Sometimes I wonder

There are only a couple I feel that way about. They're also the ones I want back.

That’s a cool thought. I kinda wish I gave away a guitar once now but I never did.

If I don't still have it, then it didn't matter in the first place. LOL

I sold a perfectly good tele back in the '80s because I needed tuition money. It's worth tons more than the 400 bucks I sold it for. Played like butter.

    Yup.

I had a Series 10 with inverted pointy headstock. I wish I kept it for the sake of nostalgia. Sometimes I wonder if it ended up in a dumpster or someone took care of it, modded it, enjoyed it.

Only the one that was stolen. I really hope it spontaneously combusted and burned a pair of thieving hands off...

My thoughts exactly. If I got rid of it I didn’t really care about it.

Actually, every now and then I wonder about a couple of them. I hope they are being played! I would take any of them back, they were all sold due to financial priorities.

I loaded up a car with a Hot Rod Deville 4x10 amp, an ovation Celibrity acoustic, a classical guitar and various FX and cables and the whole damn car got stolen while I was inside getting my Strat. I hope they turned on the amp and it caught fire and they died a thousand fiery deaths. I hate thieves.

Back in the '70s I had a beautiful 1960 ES-345 and a 1957 Twin Amp. I sold them both to a guy that I didn't know, but used to go listen to his band. A couple of years ago I was thinking about that guitar and amp, and happened to remember the guy's name. I googled him, and found his website, and there on his front page was my 345 and the old Tweed Twin! We exchanged a couple emails... he had no interest in selling it back to me.

Most definitely, for my very first strat, even though I know it's more of a sentimental thing at this point in time.

That said, given the number of guitars I have gone through, and the relatively small circle of people (<5000) who buy and trade locally here in Singapore, I do see my old guitars pop up now and again. In particular are an Epiphone G400 and a Gibson Melody Maker, both heavily modified.

Yes definitely. It's kind of like giving a child up for adoption, only the chance of them ever coming back to you is slim to none.
