    Hi guys,
simple question but I cant seem to find a reliable answer so far...
What was the vintage correct wide dot spacing (pre 64) measured from center to center?
Was it the same for Strats and Teles?
    Thanks

    1959-60 - 1 1/16th

    1961-63 - 1 1/32nd

    1963-... - narrowest spacing (7/8ths)

Honestly. I've seen many different variations. I don't think there was a general rule.

The side dots on my '56 strat are around 1.2mm apart and on my '55 tele it's only around 8mm
