hard. I started singing a bit over a year ago. I can now sing and almost strum the song.

For a long time I couldn't play and sing at all. Then I could strum and sing with a few basic chord changes. Now I can play a few riffs and more chord changes (Laya comes to mind) than in the past, but I have a long way to go. I must say though that I find singing and playing a whole lot of fun, even if I suck at it.

Singing and playing guitar is easy, singing and playing bass is sometimes near impossible, remembering lyrics is.......what were we talking about??

I do that. I usually fire up my PC and play/sing along with the music I've downloaded or on You Tube. I always concentrated on playing in the past but I'm trying to stretch the envelope lately and go places I've been afraid to in the past. My singing is marginal at best but that's not the point; I'm getting a joy out of singing and playing lately that I find hard to explain. It's like something inside trying to bust out.

One of my fellow M.I. alumni gives singing lessons. Her motto is "If You Can Talk You Can Sing"
I tend to agree so I am willing to bet that with some practice you could

Yeah, I've always been kind of a chicken when it comes to stage fright. Even though nobody is listening (I hope)...they could be.
So, this is pushing it up more than a couple notches...but I think it's good for me.

I can sing technically ... but as crappy as my guitar playing sounds my singing is ten times worse .....

I think everyone should learn to sing and play at the same time.

I wish I was better at it.

That will be my new years resolution.

    Maybe yes...
    Maybe no...
my case is sort of like Robin WillIam's bit
    about
    The brain, penis
    and
    Blood....
    Plus....
One time I played an intro...
    And
    And
    opened my mouth to sing...
My denture came unhinged(hadn't applied morning glue)
Looked at the audience n said
"your going to have to imagine me singing...."
    And then played on through....
    that incident
    has loomed large since...

Maybe we should do a "challenge" where you record yourself singing and playing?

Impossible for me, but I don't practice it enough either.
Probably for the same reason I could never get the hang of drums.
