Very nice! Candy apple red? Never played an EJ Strat, do those have noiseless pups like all the other signature models?

Very nice. I had the Tropical Turquoise bound rosewood but I sold it recently. I still have a sunburst thinline they made last year.

The pickups for the EJ's are designed by EJ and fenders pickup department. They are not noiseless. They are one of the best features of the guitar and sell like crazy when folks pull them out and list them. They are IMO one of if not the best pickup fender has ever made.

You can buy them as stand alone for not that much. I know some people claim they are different, but there's nothing to prove that !

    Different to what?
What pups do you think they are? Fender makes dozens of pups.
    Jus wondering.

Let me rephrase, the EJ PU set is unique (some alnico 3, middle a bit more powerful to set it lower and don't hit it when playing like EJ likes...etc) in the fender offer. Great PUs.

But some people claim for some reason that the stand alone EJ set (not very expensive) is not the same than the one in the EJ signature strats.

    Beauty.
The red ones are in short supply, so it seems.

The EJ's are $20 more than the CS 54 or CS 69, $40 more than the PV 65 and I see folks talk all the time about how expensive those are and looking for low cost alternatives. EJ's are the most expensive pickup Fender sells. I do agree that the stand alone set is the same as the production maple models but I have seen several videos and an interview with EJ where he claimed the ones in the RW model were made specifically for that guitar to pair with it's RW board and I have heard folks say those pickups are different than the standalone set but I don't know for sure.

Yes I heard EJ in a video say the pickups in the rosewood were a little different.

    Thanks
