There are currently 19 Artist Signature Stratocasters listed on the Fender web-site, and you are claiming that "all the other signature models" aside from the EJ Signature Strat which you are asking about have noiseless pickups . Seriously ?

The "stand alone" EJ Signature Strat set of pickups is the most expensive OTC pickup set Fender has @ $219.00 ( $169.00 at other on-line sources, if you trust them not to be knockoffs from China)

Man I wanted a Rosewood EJ so bad, but I bought a maple instead. I just couldn't convince myself that binding on a strat neck was good idea considering how fast I grind them to nubs. Beautiful guitar though, congrats.

A little bit after 4:00 he mentions the pickups eg were reworked slightly for the rosewood models.

I think the aftermarket set Fender sells like it was mentioned are all the same.

Yep, that's the video I mentioned earlier. There is also one where he discusses the pickups them selves and wears one of the covers like a bowtie.

So w/r/t pickups, are they using the same in 2019 as they did in 2009, or did they re-design ?

Yes but I liked the Thinline EJ I have more and I sold it and three amps in the last 30 days and bought a 57 Custom Deluxe, Gibson ES 335 and American Original 50’s Tele so some stuff had to go.

Welcome aboard. I’ve only been here for a couple of months but this place is a wealth of info. That’s a really nice guitar. I do like that bound rosewood neck. The attention to detail on these guitars is more that I expected.

I recently acquired an EJ Strat. I had been admiring them for quite a while and about a month ago I realized that it was just a matter of time so I had better get busy and find one. I managed to find a 2012 sunburst with maple neck model and it’s spoiled me for other Strats. It’s plays so well, I don’t care if I’m practicing plugged in or not and when I do plug it in, look out... it’s a tone machine.
