I can't think why it could possibly be bad. It's a good thing, Bigsby lives on under the Fender leadership.

Just as long as they're not buying it to watch it die.

Hah! Now all those Gibsons with a Bigsby will now have a little "Bigsby By Fender" thing on it somewhere!

    :sneaky:

It would but the reason I posted that is because I was Service Coordinator for Gibson in Canada in the mid 70s. Any of that licensed stuff was cast as "Gibson". Oh the parts, parts, parts I saw every day!:D

Some Best Buy locations were selling guitars & a selection of synthesizers for a while. A Best Buy near me had an additional room set aside for guitars, which looked like a small musical insrument store. That apparently didn't work out well for Best Buy though, and they stopped doing that.

I wonder if Fender would ever buy Gibson?

I do feel like a share holder ;), they however did not consult with me on this move. I do give the Strat Dude stamp of approval, hopefully more Tele's will come with them :thumb:.

As long as they don't try to put them on anything other than Teles.

Don't see this as a bad thing though. Fender already had them under Gretsch...
