Anyone have an opinion on this amp? I can get a pristine one pretty cheap right now but I'm not so sure about the flowers? IMG_5072.JPG

The flowers are a total tone suck. Beware!

Buy it. Play it. Then, sell it after a few years. It will have increased in value - yes, it will.

From the money you make, you can buy a used, non-fancy-flowery one you like better, but you won't go DRRI-less until then. They do both sound the same, after all.

I gotta admit, if anyone likes the crazy, flashy stuff, it's me, but I'd have a hard time with that one for that kind of money - for 800$, even if it had no reverb, I'd so get it!
But for 1400$ overall, it'd need to be blue paisley, and that over the whole chassis for me...

I don't use the reverb channel though so can't comment on that. The thing is loud, takes pedals well, looks fantastic and sounds amazing. Here's mine.

I would take it and flip it in a year or two if you can get it for cheap.

The blue paisley is a special edition. Comes with an upgraded speaker and some other bits.

For the record, I actually dig the paisley.

Not one to judge- but not my thing. Still, cool...

Beware about buying it to flip it! I walked into Sam Ash King of Prussia (Pa.) many years ago and Fender had come out with a 'limited run' re-issue of the Pink Paisley Tele. I think 1000 were to made made only...might have been 500.

I knew the guitar dept. manager well- good guy. He said they had two left in stock and already different store locations were calling about what might be available, who had stock, etc. My wife and I had great jobs- so I snapped the Tele up. "CIJ" and it was flawless. My idea was to hold on to it until they were all gone...sell at a modest profit (I don't like being gouged and will not gouge anyone). I honestly forget what I paid for it...but...

Next thing I know, due to the wild demand, Fender is continuing the reissue- and suddenly, they were in plenty....

Cleaned it up and it sat in the closet for a looong time. I finally did get out of it what I paid for it...barely. A mother bought it for her daughter who was graduating High School (cool Mom!).

You can get a new black one for $999 and the upgrade in speaker is debatable so make sure you are getting a good deal. Also this is an amp for folks who like reverb, if you are not going to use the reverb its not for you. Another thing is Deluxe's breakup easier than other Fenders at volume so keep its uses in mind. Excellent blues amp if you want easy breakup.
