I have too many pedals I think I could go down to 5 though.

    1. Wampler Tumnus (Klon)
    2. The Necronomicon Annihilation Machine (Fuzz)
    3. Wampler SuperEgo (Compressor)
    4. Earthquaker Levitation (Spring Reverb)
    5. BOSS RE-20 (Roland Space Echo)

I don't actually have a SuperEgo I have a MXR DynaComp, I have the other stuff though.

True, clip on tuners are accurate. I have a DeltaLab that I love. But it just bugs me hanging it onto my headstock all the time. I've got a Pitch Black and I love it...on the floor :).

I won't make it to even 3 pedals. I like a Cry Baby wah and a Boss TU-3 tuner on the floor.
Every so often I gas for a good delay, but have never bought one in the 25+years I have been playing.
A good sounding amp with a good wah is all I need.

    Five??!!

    Who ONLY has FIVE pedals?

    Well, ME, for one...LOL!

    • Sonic Research Tuner
    • JRAD Archer (Klon clone / close-Klon)
    • Fulltone Plimsoul
    • Monster Effects Swamp Thang (beautiful sounding, vintage type trem pedal...I LOVE this thing!)
    • TC Electronic Sentry (Noise Gate; VERY good / natural sounding, tweak-able)*
    * I just got the Sentry- I fully believe I'm going to keep it, but it's still very new to me. Tone print enabled-apparently you can isolate a specific frequency and gate that only. Feature rich...stay tuned (pun intended).

All I really need is a Wah, OD, and Fuzz. and I'm using a Crybaby Clyde McCoy, MojoMojo overdrive, and a Big Muff Pi.

But I do have more pedals, and once in a while I'll get one out and mess around, just for fun.

I love pedals, but lately I've been playing with only 2:
    1. Nocturne Mystery Brain
    2. SolidgoldFX Zeta Drive
Reverb on the amp, and I'm good to go.

my board is pretty basic....still, i could do without the wah and the chorus.
i used to get compliments from other guitarists for NOT using a bunch of pedals and just playing the damn guitar.
but i do needs me some overdrive and a bit of revoib....and the tuner is mandantory.....i only started using one last year. now i wont go without it.
if i want to get freaky i have the 500x.

Since I play a two channel amp with lush chorus and vibrato (some say the best sounding chorus ever, better than a Roland jazz chorus but never having played one don't know) with spring reverb (deep and wet) the only pedal I use is an older Cry Baby 535Q.

Its a volume wah with a button for boost, has a knob on the side that doesn't seem to do much to the sound. Latest model 535Q that knob has 6 different wah settings, the boost button and 2 smaller buttons to further customize the effect. Not sure what they do, but I'm assuming there are different circuits involved for the sweep and frequency.

If my amp didn't have those effects, a distortion pedal (TS9 deluxe or turbo, whatever they're called probably most versatile), a chorus, reverb, possibly a compressor or boost.

i had one of those ts9 turbo pedals.....and both settings obove the regular ts9 were pretty much useless.....all they did was muddy up the low end......at least through my ac30 anyway. i got rid of it.

    1. TC polytune
    2. EH soul food
    3. MXR 78 Badass Distortion
    4. Earthquaker Cloven Hoof Fuzz (just got it, but holy cow)
    5. TC Prophet (pretty basic Delay but good enough for me)

I also use my tuner as a kill switch.

-TC electronic HOF (flashback instead if you use amp reverb).

That's just what I went for in order to set a simplified and versatile pedalboard.
