I'd rather see Neil Finn solo than with Fleetwood Mac, but I imagine I'm in the minority there. The YouTube live stream sessions leading up to his new album last year were great. I hope this gets some good exposure for him and they do a couple of his tunes.

lindsay is probably tired of all this and wants a break.
he can form a new band whenever he wants with any calibre of musicians.
    prolly be a good thing.

Sure, can't go wrong with Mike Campbell on guitar, so versatile, tasteful, besides talented. What a lickmeister, maybe he'll inspire the others to do some new, fresh material, go in a new direction. Glad he's picking up the pieces after Tom Petty left us. That had to hurt really bad. Of course Neil Finn is no slouch either, he'll pick up some the front guy slack I imagine. This could be killer.

Every time they give Lindsey the boot, they get two dudes to replace him....last time wasn’t it Rick Vito and Billy Burnette?

I very much liked Crowded House, and really liked The Finn Brothers duo stuff. Guess there was some issue with all of that, but the album "Everyne Is Here" was quite good.

I'm afraid I've never paid much attention to Fleetwood Mac. The one song of theirs that I know is Landslide, and I prefer the Dixie Chicks cover.

Most interesting thing about this is the possibility that afterwards mike Cambell and Neil Finn could do something together if they hit it off. Mike is a master of making the guitar fit the song and Neil is a great songwriter and a handy rhythm guitar...

Buckingham is such an identifiable player it's kind of a joke to replace him in my opinion...

I agree with this, Fleetwood Mac are greater than the sum of their parts because of the stresses and strains within the band. Buckingham is the standout musician, though McVie's bass is solid. He has a unique guitar and nobody is going to deliver Never Going Back Again like him. Maybe he's taken it literally.

    My thoughts exactly.
One of the best concerts I ever saw was Crowded House in a tiny Parisian venue...
