WOW! Can't wait to see it!

My first "real" Strat was a '96 USA G&L Legacy and I'm a huge fan of the Legacy and ASAT Classics!

Best wishes and of course- POST PICS PLEASE!!

I have 2 USA Legacy's right now and they both get more play than my AVRIs! I'm a total G&L convert. And the Custom Shop cost only a bit more than one of the new American Original or American Elites.

Also, I see you're in Bucks County. My folks grew up in South Philly and I grew up in South Jersey.

Thanks! The dealer told me G&L estimated about 16 weeks, but it's more likely to be 12 weeks. It's a long time to wait, but perhaps the anticipation will quell any other GAS I might have.

Congratulations... if you don't already have a Legacy, you'll love it. I got one in January and it's absolutely terrific. I'm a Fender guy but now have three G&Ls...all are simply outstanding.

Sounds good. :) And since it's a G&L, you can also head over to http://www.guitarsbyleo.com/ and join the forums there to share your new G&L guitar goodness.

I’m looking forward to some photos! Sounds to be an amazing guitar! Is that a Maple neck & Fretboard?

I’ve waited that long & I had to keep checking the calendar because I’d swear it had been 2 months when it was only one & it got worse as time crept by! A little inspiration never hurts! LOL! Congrats again!

Yep! You usually see vintage white/mint guard with a rosewood neck. I feel like that's a lot more common. But I like the look of it with a vintage tinted maple neck.

Ends up something like this, but with a tinted board/neck. And a humbucker in the bridge, of course.

Well, I have an update! Guitar should be done in about 3 weeks. My builder at the G&L custom shop called me and asked if I wanted an upgrade free of charge. He had an extra neck that's 3A flame maple, V neck with stainless steel frets (so same neck I ordered, but with the flame and SS frets). I'm not one to care too much about super flamey stuff, but I definitely jumped on the upgrade. Just for the SS frets, it was a no-brainer.

Plus he texted me a couple pics. Looks great!

Neck looks fantastic! I love flamed maple necks! I’m waiting on one myself!
