He puts on a good show.
My favorite song of his. Plus the animation is great.
I always was a huge fan of Thorogood.
My woman left me
My mule went lame
Lost my money in a poker game
Wind storm came just the other day
Blew the house that I lived in away
I got so much trouble
So much trouble
So much trouble I'm bout to lose my mind
He's thoroughly good.
well as a child of the philly area, lonesome george was a local hero...
youtube poster messed up the title, but gets bonus points for keeping Delaware in the Destroyers...
I grew up in South Philly. Saw George & The Destroyers more times than I can remember. Always a great time.
i grew up across the bridge in jersey. (well across the bridge and halfway to wildwood.) first time i saw george was at the Stones at JFK in 81... but the radio was filled with him.... 'mmr, 'ysp...
The video you posted looks like the 81 tour. I'm a big Stones fan and recognize that stage. Wildwood days will be here soon!
I saw him open for, I think, VH back in 90's and he put on a great show! Maybe he opened for the Black Crowes...Hell I can't remember...I do remember it was a great show though!
Feel bad saying this because I love George, but might be better to see him at a pub, or at a yard party. Saw him at the Metro Centre in Halifax maybe a decade ago, and frankly, it was a little bit boring. Once he'd done a few numbers, spun his guitar around his neck on the strap a few times, it all kind of sounded the same. Maybe it was just an off night on his tour, but the guy who opened for him was a lot more exciting to hear.
I'm sure I'm better in the back yard than the stadium too, so no hard feelings.
Always loved this....
Yep, love a cheerful ditty!
Could be worse huh?
Saw him with the Stones that year in SF.
