    i grew up across the bridge in jersey. (well across the bridge and halfway to wildwood.) first time i saw george was at the Stones at JFK in 81... but the radio was filled with him.... 'mmr, 'ysp...

    The video you posted looks like the 81 tour. I'm a big Stones fan and recognize that stage. Wildwood days will be here soon!

    I saw him open for, I think, VH back in 90's and he put on a great show! Maybe he opened for the Black Crowes...Hell I can't remember...I do remember it was a great show though!

    Feel bad saying this because I love George, but might be better to see him at a pub, or at a yard party. Saw him at the Metro Centre in Halifax maybe a decade ago, and frankly, it was a little bit boring. Once he'd done a few numbers, spun his guitar around his neck on the strap a few times, it all kind of sounded the same. Maybe it was just an off night on his tour, but the guy who opened for him was a lot more exciting to hear.

    I'm sure I'm better in the back yard than the stadium too, so no hard feelings.
