So found a 2005 American Strat in Burst and picked it up today. No pics yet as she's got a SRV look alike pickguard on it. And since I can't even come close to playing like SRV, I need to get a white pickguard for it. My dilemma is which one to buy. Stratosphere has an American Parchment pickguard. But it looks kinda yellow in the pics, so I am not sure what I should get. I just want to put it back to how it came from the factory. What should I buy?

And if somebody has the proper pickguard, I would be happy to buy from ya.

    Thanks!

What pickups suit your playing style?

You can get prebuilt pickguards with just about any pickup imaginable if you have a specific sound you are looking for. If you tell us what you are after, you will get better advice.

I like the pups in it so far. I just got it a few hours ago, but know I want an empty pickguard. Just not sure if I want white or parchment.

If its got a rosewood neck, I *really* like (light) mint pickguards, with aged knobs and pickup covers.

If it has a maple fretboard, I like parchment pickguards (again with aged knobs and pickup covers).

    Congrats on your new Strat!

Yeah, mint green looks cool, so does parchment IMHO. Parchment is not really that yellow, unless you are comparing side by side with white.

    BTW, what model is it?
