Yes - it featured in the recent Euroguestock too - if you look at the "videos" thread. The guy who ran the studio thought it was a vintage one to start with!

I have hangers and stands. Hangers when I'm not playing, stands for when playing. The only drawback with hangers so far is my guitars with locking tuners. The hangers tend to loosen the locking mechanism on the low E string. Have to check the tightness regularly.

I only use free-standing stands for the guitar(s) I'm playing at the moment.

I put my guitars in their cases when not being played. I have a Hercules 3 Stand that I use when being played. If you have kids or cats you might know the dangers of leaving them on stands.

It would be really cool looking if you could make the vertical piece look like a piece of rosewoood fretboard.

I use that same 5 guitar rack. I have the Hercules stand that holds via the neck for the acoustic I have out while playing but other wise tend to put them it their cases as well.

I use the Hercules and Tele's don't slip through, although they need to set in more carefully than other guitars because if they go sideways, it could be trouble.

when not in a case I use a stand that only supports the body, nothing touches the neck other than my hand when out of the case

Yes, it was creamy white when I got it but it aged to that kind of yellowish in those almost 14 years since it was born back in 2005 (actually 13 years and some months).
    I love it.

    All the best,
    Robin

Doesn’t solve tge on stage scenario though, need something to keep one or two guitars near to hand.

If you use hangers use the string swing ones that the hanger can move to accommodate your strat contour. Just make sure they are put away in theirs cases when done playing. As leaving them out will expose to the elements unless you have 45%-50% humidity in the room at all time and the room is at least 67 degrees it can seriously warp your instrument

I guess I'm the oddball out here. I do NOT use hangers at all. I have 22 guitars at this point and everyone of them has a hard shell case. I store the guitars in their cases in a "special area" in one of the rooms in our house at all times when not in use. It sort of looks like a guitar case display, but it completely protects the guitars from the elements and damage and it is easy to get the one I want to use out because all cases are well marked as to what's inside. I DO keep at least one or two guitars out in a special "display area" in a very sturdy but secluded stand, and usually rotate those so that I have a change of display quite often. It is fun, and the ones on display are usually the ones that I am playing at that time. And yes, I do play them all. I like to see guitars displayed "out in the open" but it just doesn't work for me.

If the hanger design is allowed to rotate, then it will most likely work properly with a 6-inline headstock. If it is fixed, then it won't unless you add some padding to the inside as posted above.

One thing to watch for... if that headstock decal is not under the finish, the clip-on tuner will damage it. Even if it is under the finish, I try to avoid slipping my tuner on a decal.

That is a cool idea and quite easy with spare fretwire I have laying around!

Thanks! Hope you don't mind if I use it!
