    Yep, exactly!

Well said too, that is the main reason why I never re-did it.

I was in a bad place emotionally at the time, and I think it came through. Think my best work comes out of pain and misery lol.

Here’s one back from Challenge 207. That Curtis Mayfield funk thing. This one had me out of my comfort zone. Maybe it was the tempo, I don’t know. But, I guess we have to flirt with that line if we are ever going to expand our boundaries. I remember trying to use a bunch of different techniques/attacks I’d been practicing with this one.

I use 10’s, and broke about 3 high E strings until I was able to play this thing somewhat clean from start to finish. Well, at least the way I kept hearing it in my head.

Although I ended up liking some parts in here (some near the front, the walk down transition parts in the middle, and some at the end), I wasn’t overly excited about it. Kind of more of a grip it and rip it approach. I just kept playing and ended up with where it took me.

Here's another one of my "odd" moments. I found this scale by accident and later found it's the Hungarian Minor.
I wanted to get a gypsy fiddle sound so used the octaver in Logic Pro ,on my Les Paul, but played it in such a way as to mimic a violin. At the end I thought "what have I just produced?" but have grown to like it. :D

I recorded this about 4 months ago. I actually forgot about it, but this post made me go look at my soundcloud account. I wonder if I still have the reaper file, now I want to expand on it.

    My house.
I usually end up hating my stuff later. So, I delete it for fear of someone seeing it. This one isnt great but has moments.

    Okay, I'll play
a 3-part suite of acoustic guitar from at least 10 years ago

something still fresh off the EBow platter

But almost all of the EBow stuff from 2015 and 2016 sounds like crap now ,
with some exceptions , and I know not all the 2017 stuff will age well .

But it can be very good to come back after long periods away, and hear stuff,
without such a critical ear , or at least with a different ear, and different criticisms, than
    when something was recorded .

This was a jam track from the Les Paul Forum. It was just the acoustic, drums the synth. I added 4 guitar tracks two harmony and two rhythm I think. I wish the tone was a little less bright But I think it's a good composition.
