    Yo folks,

    Always great to see this thread busy !!! All my guitars are in rotation at the moment, mainly because I'm being a little too slack in changing the strings on any of them lol, so this tune was completed on my trusted Sunburst Stratocaster, that "seemed" to have strings on it with some life left....

    I hope y'all like it, as for no apparent reason, the tunes coming out at the moment are unintentionally taking-on a heavy vibe, ( which can't be a bad thing can it ?...), so they're finding their way into this thread, rather tan my own lol !

    Hopefully it's not too-much-too-soon, but we must make hay while the sun shines...( Or something like that )...

    Have a great week-end & enjoy \m/,

    @Rastus , you know, I've been listening to your uploads for so long and trying to compare them to some other band or genre but I can't! You def have your own thing going on to the point if I heard one of your clips with out knowing who it was from, I know it was yours! What I'm saying is you have a style that is all yours..., its part sludge/stoner rock, part classic rock, part laid back groove rock...I don't know if I'd lump metal in there (maybe some of your soloing though) but who cares? But music is not about fitting into nice little compartments or generalizations anyway. Keep'em coming, brother!

    Here's something I put together today using a fairly new build. Buying a YJM strat recently taught me how much I love those really deep scallops, so I redid this neck to make 'em much deeper.

    All the best!

    Thanks, guys! I don't have an LP, but if I did I'm pretty sure I'd scallop it. I've done that to my Ibanez JS and RG guitars, no regrets.

    For the couple of you that still have a soft spot for that rodent band from the 80's...yep, they are still around and kicking...well, 2 of the original 5 are anyway. Saw RATT play in Costa Mesa, CA last Friday and even though I was severely bummed out when I heard Warren DeMartini and Carlos Cavazo were out of the band, the two new gunslingers did an admirable job. This is not my video but it came out better than anything I recorded.

    FWIW, RATT's new lineup is:

    * Stephen Pearcy - Vocals
    * Juan Croucier - Bass
    * Jordan Ziff (RAZER) - Lead Guitar
    * Chris Sanders (BRITNY FOX, KNIGHT FURY) - Rhythm Guitar
    * Pete Holmes (BLACK 'N BLUE, RATT'S JUAN CROUCIER) - Drums

    That is a bummer, Warren D is one of my favorite guitarists. Anyone know what he's up to, if anything?

    Hey folks,

    Here you go, some more classic-rock, if not metal lol ! I hope y'all like it, & have a great week-end !

    Cheers,

    Rastus

    NB. I've got the flu at the moment, & there may be a waver here & there with the rhythm-guitar around the 3rd-verse, so apologies in advance ! I was too slack to re-do it lol !

    Hi , buddy
    Question for you-Do you know any string skip and legato exercises ? Trying to learn some Rainbow alongside Iron Maiden.

    and I noticeds a very fast while still melodic for ascending runs technique during solos.

    Was thinking I might try seeing if some classical Bach etudes would
    Help me with the melody approach.

    LOVE THAT SONG....I first heard it done by No Mercy (Mike Clark's first band) on their Widespread Bloodshed album...bought that on vinyl back in the day just for the album art! Good stuff :thumb::thumb::thumb:

    Yo folks,

    Here comes another one right at you ! Likely once again to be more in the Classic Rock vein than Metal, but let's face it, you can't really have one without the other either lol !

    Oddly enough, this one turned-out a little more complex than some of the other tunes of late, but the notes rolled-off the fret-board much quicker & easier than usual, meaning it didn't take long at all to complete !

    I hope y'all like it, & have a great week-end !

    Cheers,

    Rastus
