Help with mystery pickups

    They do have ceramic magnets....those are from Made in China Bullet and Affinity guitars from the 90s to late 2000s......they're the stock pickups....

    It's a different construction. The coil is wound around a bar magnet similar in construction to a lipstick pickup....and then they are epoxied in and that baseplate is put on the bottom....

    Well the pickups might be made in China but the guitar was stamped Indonesia. :)

    Thanks for the info - they're probably not worth messing with then.

    Okay, news to me but I know they used parts on both, whatever was around I suppose....

    Usually Korean or Chinese guitars I've seen this one....

    They're a cheap pickup but a lot of people think they sound good....

    Yeah if you look at my $30 Bullet thread in the Squier section that's the guitar they came out of.
