It's a really good buy. The fit finish feel of those guitars is primo. Too bad it's a bag and not a HSC that is included.

Thank you for your reply :) There are two pickups types, HH and H at neck. Which one is better? For Jazz neck pickup is sufficient I assume.

I don't need a HSC, it won't leave my BMF and it would be hung on the wall :D

Of course the HH is better. You get the cool middle position, and a bridge if you want to rock. You only would get the single humbucker one, for looks.

Thank you Nick. The price is tempting. The GAS has reached its limit.

    Buy one lol

    Then it’s @Dare1 I mixed up. Sorry H ;)

Get one. I think DAngelico are great in general.
    You’ll love it.
Neck pickup is all a jazzer needs

I have the full hollowbody EXL1, Love it. After it came home I sold both the Ibanez Artcore and the Gretsch 5120. Don't know what to tell you about pup choice. 1.JPG

I have a EXL-1 I bought last fall. It’s a excellent guitar. They were on sale for $799 at GC. I was able to find this one in town and just love it. I wanted a natural finish but this one was to good to let go! I play it all the time. Our local jazz master has even borrowed it for studio work and is knocked out by it’s sound and playability... I like that sunburst way more than the natural. looks very classic and classy.

Nothing looks classier than a nice hollowbody, IMO. It's like the tuxedo of the guitar world.

Looks nice as well as @oatsoda 's guitar.

Only three colors are offered for 399, black, white and trans wine. The latter, for me, is better than other ones.

    Decisions...Decisions... :D

    @nickmsmith

Thanks Nick! The GC offered to get me a Natural one. But this one was just perfect and you know the story of a bird in hand. It came with round wound 10’s but I put a set of Flat Wound 12’ on it and it really came to life. I do play it a lot. The Strats be jealous.

Well, since I’m into jazz, I want a jazzy guitar. But since I don’t want to spend a lot, I decided to buy Squier CV 50’s. I saw the offer this morning, it sounds like a great deal for a jazz guitar. Also, fellow members who own it have recommended it. I still can’t pull the trigger now. I wish I could.

Have you had a look at Harley Benton, The Loar and Ibanez?

Honestly, no, I have not. I wasn't looking to buy a guitar specifically for jazz. The price of DAngelico has caught my attention. I never played any guitar other than my start :D
