I have 3. No names.
Most of mine don't have names, but these two do. This is Cracker, and Abby. Cracker got his name because he's, well, white. And Abby is named for the the lady that initialed the pickups she had in her when I first got her. They
both have Kinman pickups in them now, 'cause that's the way I like 'em.
Names? Yeah! I'm the type that believes imagination (or creativity) delivers guitar names.
The current lineup includes: Jenny, Hannah, Roxanne, Black Cat, and last but not least is Zola is an ESP-LTD, LP copy.
I have 2.
Their names are:
Dumb & Dumber.
Dumb is a 1996 B&W Strat Plus.
Dumber is a 2004 Tricolor Burst 50th Anniversary AM Standard
Who's on first
You'll have to ask the guy who's on 2nd...
I have 4 Strats. My 12 string sunburst Strat is 12-Burst. My black MIA is just Black-Strat (now that's original-Har Har). The others aren't named. My Blonde '64 Jazzmaster is Blondie (also not very original)
I got me three of em.
9 strats for me - more than 1/2 of them are partcaster/mutts:
"Sybil" - '89 Am Std body w/ Warmoth neck and Steve Morse Dimarzio pickup configuration.
"Bertha" - '93 Plus Dlx body w/Allpart '62 neck and Klein pickups. She's a big girl, weighing in at over 12lbs.
"Harriett" - mid 80's MIJ Squier with DAllen pickups & AVRI trem.
"Virginia" - JLV Sig strat w/ Klein pickups & Callaham trem.
"Frankie" - Squier SE Body with '93 Plus Dlx neck, hs2 bridge and Am Std neck and middle.
"EJ" - '09 Eric Johnson sig model, stock.
"Gilmour" - Black MIM body with MIJ '57 RI neck, DAllen Echoes p'ups.
"CB" - MIM LPB body with Allparts neck
"Jake" - Vintage White Affinity body, '89 Am Std neck, SD Custom 5 humbucker in the bridge and only 1 tone control.
the red one and the sunburst one.
What's the red one loaded with? I like the covered pick ups
I've never given my guitars names, except the ones they're born with. So I decided to name them after reading this thread. And they are,
Sgt. Bilko - 50's reissue strat
Capt. Pierce - 80's Washburn Hawk
General Grunt - 2000 Squier Tele (really belongs to my eldest son, but I'm looking after it)
Bilko, (Sgt) well it's the 50's, my Dad was a big Phil Silvers fan, apparently, I never really knew him he died when I was a year old. He wanted to call me Bilko. I kind of wish he had got his way now...
Pierce - Capt 'Hawkeye' Pierce, who else...
And according to this article, Alan Alda credits Phil Silvers for starting his career (No. 6)
Grunt - A guitar for a bit of general grunt. Thanks to those Alnico 3 Tonerider hot Classics I've installed.
currently Strat-less and very sad. i had been trying to do a hard-tail project, but was robbed of savings. complicated reason.
Sorry to hear,, hoping it will all work out..
Have been there, my friend. Hopefully you'll regroup and can continue on with your hardtail project. If so, let me know. I have a new hardtail strat body that I know isn't going to get used. It's bare, so it's ready for any color of paint you want. Think I have an extra tailpiece as well. And I have more strat pickguards than I simply know what to do with at this point. I'd rather see some of this go to someone who will actually use it. And if you're thinking of a possible Charley build, this stuff would be right up your alley. Good luck, man!
Sorry to hear that man.
I hope things work out well for you soon. Hang in there.
If there was a guitar I'd had three of, I'd call them "Helen".
Only one of these has a name. Due to snappy, snarly pups I named the SG Snarls Barkley
Currently I own two, an American Standard and a 57 reissue JV, no names yet... Any suggestions?
Just one. No name
