I almost bought an Eite but the fourth generation scared me away. I just can't seem to be willing to chance noiseless pups. I wonder though?

Dewey...I know what you mean...I always hear about people not liking noiseless pups. However, Greg Koch talks about needing to always have one noiseless guitar if you find yourself at a gig and the regular pups keep causing feedback in the amps.

    Not a problem for me...I don't gig.

    Thanks for the comment MK!

I'm sort of a pick up traditionalist. Old school. It's hard for me to give anything new a chance. Unless of course your talking about a new guitar. :)

I don't gig and rarely play with much volume so noiseless pups have never been necessary.
    I don't gig either.

We have 8 strats and 18 guitars total. No way would I name them all. Only one has a name (lil Jimi), unless my son named some. With that many, I would forget their names, then they would get pissed.

I've posted my count at least once so one more time won't hurt. I just made up names today.

I have three Strats. Molly is white, Dolly is Burgundy Mist and Holly is Chartreuse Sparkle. :)

I have two, which I've introduced in other threads along with pix.
My black '65 Strat, and my MIM Sage Green Metallic Strat.
I did not name them but refer to the black '65 as my "Tom Quinn Signature Model" as Tom was the guy who helped me resurrect it back in '77. (R.I.P. Tom)

I used to think it was sad, corny or just plain egotistical when people would name their guitars. But after playing a couple of thousand sets on them I started thinking of a few as trusty warbirds, and a couple of others became cherished old friends. Now all my guitars have names. There are a couple I'm storing for a friend who died, until her son is ready to take them- those aren't named because they aren't mine.

    Strats & superStrats:

Lady Blue '63 Strat, Lake Placid blue
Flying Tiger '69 Strat, trans orange
    Fronkensteen '79 Stuyvesant/Guitarman Floydcaster, black
Mustang Sally '80 Tokai Silver Series Strat, black (tiny little neck, makes me feel like my hands are as big as Jimi's)
Goldwing '80 Rudy's (48th St) Floydcaster, Tangerine Gold
Roadrunner '95 Fender Showmaster, bubinga top, brown burst
Little Wing '01 Voodoo Custom '69 Special (reverse headstock Strat), Olympic white
Lady Cerise '02 Masterbuilt Strat, Candy Apple red
Fireball '07 James Tyler Studio Custom Elite, Jimburst
Moonrise '011 Roadworn Player Strat, Olympic white
Delta Echo '014 Eko Kadett, Metallic Sky Blue (not quite a superStrat more of a pseudoStrat)
Albatross '015 Meck (Hong Kong) strelecaster, Alpine white (Strat appointments in a Tele body shape)

plus a seafoam green partscaster in the works, unnamed until I get a feel for its personality:

Well, as of today I have 7 Strats.

Give them names? God, no way! Nothing more embarrassing than ppl that give guitars names.

I just call them by their model/colour, eg. JV White, JV Gold, Am Std, Classic Player, Blacktop Black, Blacktop Red etc.

I used to have just one, an MIM and I referred to it as my strat. Then I got one called Eric Johnson, but to fair I didn’t give it that name. After he came along I started referring to the MIM as my blue one.

I have six. One is yellow, one is light blue, one is dark blue, one is sage green, one is black, and I have two white ones. ...wait a minute! That's seven. I have seven. Their names are:
    Yeller
    Bluie
    Bluer
    Greenie
    Blackie
    Whitie
    Other Whitie

I always forget about Other Whitie, because my wife thinks I only have one white one, so I keep the other one put away....
