Does anybody have a wiring diagram for an HSS Strat using a dual-gang volume pot WITHOUT a Super Switch?

    I’d like the following setup:

    1.) Dual-Gang 250k/500k “Master” Volume

    2.) 250k Neck Tone

    3.) 500k Bridge Tone

Technically the wiring would be the same as using 2 volume pots and a dual-gang tone pot. The physical pot configuration would be the only difference.

The more I think about it, maybe I should just use 500K pots and wire it normally with a Bridge tone instead of middle. The reason is because I’m going to use Lace Sensors in the neck & middle. I have a red, silver, blue set. I’m not sure which two I’ll choose. Any input? The bridge is a Seymour Duncan Custom Shop ‘78 Trembucker.

Think you may have answered your own question. You have a humbucker in the mix, so 500k pots is a logical choice. Let us know how things turn out.

You could run pickups to switch, then to both volume pots and tone pots. Use the other half of switch to select which volume pot gets grounded. You will always have both tones active so it negates the treble gain of the volume pot arrangement.
There really is only a subtle difference between 250k vs 500k volume pots. I would pick one and stick with it.

With the 78, I would use 500k tone, certainly. It would depend on the guitar if I would use 500k or 250k volume. In my HSS, I have a 500k volume, and it works well.

Don't make too much of the 250k/500k pot rule. It's not a hard fast rule. Let your ears be the judge.
