Didn't see a club for H&K amps so thought I'd start one.

I recently picked up a brand new Edition Tube 25th Anniversary and couldn't be happier with it.

So does anyone else here own a H&K amp?

I don't, but noticed Alex Lifeson's in the Rush R30 video.
Can anyone compare to Fender, Marshall, Vox etc.?

Hopefully I'll be a proud HK owner by Christmas. I'm salivating for a Tubemeister18 and a 1x12 or 2x12 cab. I have a Warmoth strat with DiMarzio Injectors (sss) and a copy prs that I built. The hk tm18 to me seems so versatile and sounds great. I need an amp that'll give me that 70/80 sound for cover band. The only other amp that comes close is the mesa boogie mini rectifier, but the hk has a much nicer clean tone while making available a warm high distortion sound. Thumbs up for hk.

I'm looking at the Tubemeister 18 as well. I need an amp to keep in my drummer's basement so I don't have to lug one back and forth. I'm bumming as there was a used combo on ebay for $420. I didn't pull the trigger but I added it to my watch list. Then I got an alert that the price lowered to $360 but by the time I got online it was snatched. They look to be very versatile which is perfect for me as I play in a cover band as well.

I just bought a Tubemeister 5 head for my studio... Its AWESOME !!...

After buying and trying others lie a Marshall Haze 15, Marshall Class 5 and a JVM 410h full stack... I found nothing really suited my studio requirements..

I tried a TM5 through an Audio Kitchen 1 x 12 and it blew me away... I don't need volume.. but the quality is unbelievable especially at the price point...

I made a backing track as soon as I got it back home.. Using a H Hmm.. Gibson Explorer... (Yet to try it with my start)...

Heres the backing track with a quick intro demo using the explorer...

I'm new here, and I'm bringing this thread back to life.

I've gigged out with two Switchblades, and a Triamp MKII for many years. Had a Duotone, but didn't gig out much with it. I wasn't a fan of the parallel loop only. Always got compliments from soundmen on my tone. I've had and still have a wide variety of amps, and I've always felt that H&K was the tone for me.

I find H&Ks aren't really that popular, and very few people actually have heard of them. Tubemeister got them a little popularity though. Fantastic sounding amps, and I had a problem out of warranty. H&K contacted my local dealer and got it fixed for free for me. Can't beat that.

    A few pics....

I'm no longer in the H&K club for now. But I would like to get another TM18 sometime down the line. My smallest amp now is 36watts.

The Tubemeister 36 has piqued my interest. I'd love to pick one up.

    What are you playing now?

Since my last post, I've also picked up 2 Tubemeisters. I've played a lot of other stuff, but I'm definitely a fan of the H&K tone.

Thomas Blug always does great demos of anything. He could make a Line 6 Spyder sound amazing.
