I’m looking for a bridge humbucker to pair with my Texas specials in my SRV strat.
probably keen to go with SD or Dimarzio as can usually get a good price used
Any experience with something that pairs well?

Will probably get a new pickguard as well so fire away with color recommendations

    Thanks in advance

I'm thinking anything in the PAF output range would work
The Duncan 59', Dimarzio Paf, etc
    Good luck whatever you decide

A Pearly Gates seems like it would be perfect for that application.

I love the DiMarzio Chopper in the bridge position which is single coil sized, but sounds humbuckerish with a tad more high end. I like them so much I have 3 Choppers in my Am Std.

If you have an SRV, you will need a single sized bucker. I had a lil59 in my SRV for a while.

I would also recommend Wilde (Bill Lawrence L90 in the lower henries range) very affordable amazing pickup...

    .

Find a circuit you like that can put the bridge and middle pickups you have in series for humbucker tones. Push/pull or the Dan Armstrong Blender Mod. That way you keep classic SSS but also have a humbucker guitar in your pocket.

Be sacrilegious and throw in a gibson pickup. I put in a 57 Classic +. It's a hot vintage, which is what TS pickups are. They have A2 magnets, so they're not bright, which means there no need to change pots or anything. I have the stock 250k pots and that 57+ rocks.

Yes I just realised that too. The lil 59, sound OK?

It does actually sound pretty good, I still have it in one of my guitars. It's not a full size bucker so it won't sound exactly like one, but still pretty good.

Pearly Gates is a great pairing.
