That's funny. The last time I was on TV was for playing the guitar as the "Bunny" at a talent show for the department. But the time before that was because I was working at a sobriety checkpoint and was hit by a car and carried for almost a mile at over 120 MPH which put in the hospital for a week as a result. I spent the next 6 months on crutches and still deal with the issues from that broken leg. You can see me limping in the OP video and it's why I am wearing that brace too.

I've posted this before a couple years ago but here is one of the "partially correct" news broadcasts. They didn't have all of the info at this time and all of them were trying to be the first to air the story...you take it from there. Bit this one was a case of them under exaggerating the details.

Wow! That's a story! I wanted to hit the "like" button, but didn't "like" the idea of you hanging on to a car going that fast. And . . . the results thereof. Whew!

This was a couple months later when all of the news crews wanted to do the press conference. I agreed to do it, obviously, but only on familiar territory so we did it in the conference room at our academy.

Again, edited to fit the time slot.

It was one wild ride for sure. It's funny what sill go through your mind and how calm one can stay through the entire ordeal when placed in one.
I would like to think that I am tough but I know how many tears I've shed over the years from the pain.
Thank you. It definitely was a ride that I will never forget. It has also given me a new perspective on thrill rides, though I have always been a thrill seeker, but when you know there is a level of control after being completely out of control...You can just take it all in and enjoy.

Oh man... as many have said, that could have gone much worse. I hate wild swings in barameteric pressure, I would guess you get those pains too. Hearing that story is certainly humbling.

You would be correct. It is a bucket of suck when the bar starts fluctuating. But lately (like the last 5 months) it's just hurt a.l the time. So i went back to the surgeon only to find out that my supposedly 30 knee only lasted 2 years. So I went for a second opinion to find out that ir failed because I should have had a partially constrictive knee installed instead of a non-constrictive (or free floating). So now I'm staring at the idea of a total knee revision to replace the replacement in the near future. The surgeon I am trying to get work comp to use is a revision specialist as opposed to the replacement specialist they want me to go back to.

Cool beans. 111th is now College Blvd. I live only a couple miles from the State Line and College/ Red Bridge intersection.
